Week 10 and 11-Muddy Points

My muddy point for week 10 and 11 is how so many organizations while trying for the same goal, have not achieved better networking methods and standards.

Why are University digital repositories not open online to the general public?

I had the same thoughts! I also was shocked that the repository sites were not working as they were ideally meant to, to the point that they needed such overhaul.. It seemed to me that they'd be such wonderful tools for research, that the participants would be eager to use and share the info. Weird how people/institutions work, sometimes, isn't it?

I have a question for you. No one is answering it for me anywhere else, and it's starting to really get on my nerves! I am having a real problem redirecting my images' pathways for the website. I successfully redirected my pages, and I successfully uploaded the images to a folder in the Pitt server, but every pathway I try does not work! I've tried the www.pitt.edu/~sac99/afs etc pathway, just the pitt.edu w/o the afs pathway, etc. Do you have any advice? I'm getting to the point where I may just turn in the assignment with non-working images, although I'd rather not! Thanks in advance, I'd really appreciate any help....

Thanks for your quick response! I've posted my pages, http://www.pitt.edu/~sac99

I have three pages with images. Each has different source code for the images, just to show you some of what I've tried so far. One has the original source code for when the images were only stored on my computer, which I know won't work, but again, I wanted to show you the various things I've tried.

Thank you SO MUCH for your help, I can't tell you how much it means to me that FINALLY someone is willing to help!!!
